Lung Cancer Screening Tracking Software Plays an Essential Role
“The clinical, regulatory, and reimbursement documentation requirements for LCS are complex. The integration of LCS-specific software with existing EHRs is increasingly crucial for provider organizations to be able to deliver evidence-based, compliant care that is properly reimbursed. ... With proper leadership, support, and resource allocation, it is manageable, effective, and practical, and results in useful workflows for clinicians, long-term cost savings, and, most importantly, better care for patients.”
Lung Navigator Resources
HealthMyne provides expert resources for lung navigators and others involved in lung cancer screening, including workflow consulting, webinars and a lung cancer program toolkit.
Hilary Deskins, RN, BSN leads HealthMyne's lung navigation resource team. In 2012, Hilary started a lung cancer screening program at KYOne Health with guidance from the GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer (formerly the Lung Cancer Alliance). By 2016, it was one of the largest lung cancer screening programs in the U.S., increasing 4,500% over five years. This success led to an invitation to present the KYOne Health program before the Congressional Lung Cancer Caucus.
