Screening False Positive Rates Lower with Lung-RADS™

In a recent study, a team of researchers put the Lung CT Screening Reporting and Data System (Lung-RADS™) developed by the ACR to the test with the goal of producing a lower false-positive rate than the 23.3 percent reported by the National Cancer Institute’s National Lung Screening Trial (NLST). In line with their goal, researchers found the Lung-RADS false-positive rate was substantially lower than that of NLST at just 10.4 percent.
